A well-established firm specialising in commercial, agency, professional work and commercial management.

Based in Uckfield, an important Mid Sussex town, rapidly expanding and in a delightful part of rural East Sussex. Great place to live and work with the Ashdown Forest close by, and lots of good pubs and restaurants.

We are now recruiting for a surveyor to join our fun, lively, friendly team and to help grow our business.

Competitive salary/commission package available ranging from £35,000 to £50,000 per annum depending on experience. Good partnership/directorship prospects available.

This is a varied and professional role. Some of the responsibilities include:

• Landlord & Tenant 1954 Act work
• Lease renewals and rent reviews
• Some valuation work
• Schedules of Dilapidations and Condition
•  General asset management of a portfolio of retail, industrial and office properties
•  Assisting in commercial agency
• Opportunities to develop the investment of the development side of the business

The successful candidate will preferably be:

• MRICS qualified
• Enthusiastic and able to demonstrate some experience in the professional role
• They should be keen to join a team and expand the firm
• They need to be prepared to ‘muck in’ and a sense of a humour would also be an advantage
• They must like dogs as Cleo and Toffee are part of the office team

Consideration would be given to flexible/reduced hours.
