Asset Manager - Client Side - MRICS Status - competitive salary - South Yorkshire

Asset manager

Your new company
A well established and respected property owner and developer, with a varied national portfolio, and a strong presence in South Yorkshire. This organisation can offer you an interesting and varied portfolio to work on, and a chance to be involved in say to day management, strategy and development.

Your new role
The Asset Manager job will see you working towards the performance of the portfolio, seeking and relocating tenants, managing lease matters, and co-ordinating development and refurbishment projects. You will be liaising and appointing letting agents, and working with the FM and marketing teams to make best use of the property assets. You will set and manage service charge budgets, and be responsible for reporting on the progress of the portfolio. Part of the job will be to build a network with other professionals in the market, to represent the organisation effectively in the market, and to seek and secure new tenants.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a BSc in a property related discipline, and be MRICS status or working towards it. You should have experience gained either with a consultancy or client side in a property or asset management job. You will need experience of service charge management, leasing and tenant finding, and rent reviews and lease renewals, as well as experience with refurbishment projects. A hands on attitude, and the desire to problem solve, and identify innovative ways of working to ensure goals and targets are met is essential, as is a good understanding of the property market generally.

What you'll get in return
You will be working in a client side property focused job, with a supportive team, and a real chance to broaden the scope of the role itself, and your position in the organisation. You will work with specialists in their field, and deal with the full range of management duties, so no day is ever the same. The role will see you take full responsibility for aspects of the portfolio, and the accountability that brings can offer a great platform for progression.
