Business and Data Analyst - Asset Management

Our client, one of the leading real estate development companies in the UK are seeking an Asset Manager/Business and Data Analyst due to expansion. Working under the Head of Assets, you will be responsible for providing research and analysis that supports Asset Management and business development activities across all sectors including residential, offices, retail, estate and marketing. The job holder will be numerate and analytical; demonstrate a keen interest in the asset management and real estate sector; be comfortable building relationships across the business, with internal and external stakeholders and be happy to work across multiple ongoing projects and activities.

Responsibilities:

• Define and develop a strategy to procure and produce insightful research, analysis and reporting that informs decision-making for asset management
• Produce and maintain ongoing sector and portfolio analysis, providing the business with an understanding of the composition of the portfolio, performance of their customers, impact of potential asset management initiatives and wider retail market
• Procure external research to support asset managers with their leasing strategy, business planning and reporting
• Support quarterly reporting across all sectors, including reviewing the valuation inputs
• Develop a deep knowledge of the retail and wider real estate sector
• Work closely with the marketing team to understand how existing data can inform the marketing strategy and key business decisions
• Manage relationships with third party research and data providers

Requirements:

• Experience of writing about macroeconomic, sector-based or technological trends, particularly in respect of the retail sector or changing consumer behaviour
• A keen interest in the retail market and broader awareness of the real estate sector
• Experience of project based working and prioritising own time
• Strong technical and professional skills, including advanced proficiency in MS Office/Excel, Business Intelligence/BI tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableu, etc) and numerical analysis to support business reporting to inform strategy and decision-making
• Previous experience dealing with external data or insight
