Chief Investment Officer, European remit, London

Our Client is a leading UK based Private Equity Investment firm with AUM across the UK and Europe.   The business is nimble and dynamic and in a growth phase.  

They are currently seeking an experienced CIO / Investment Director to help them reinvest a substantial war chest of capital.  They have low gearing currently.  Target markets are the Nordics and Western / Southern Europe. 

As part of a challenging and varied role – the major duties will include:

• Sourcing of investment opportunities through existing network whilst also developing new relationships.
• Initial analysis of opportunities prior to working with junior members of the team to conduct full due-diligence, leading to presenting to investment committee.
• Negotiation of terms and then being the lead on execution of transactions. This will include appointing and managing all third party advisors.
• Working with the asset management team to ensure properties are producing revenue to its full potential.
• Investigating new opportunities and new strategies for the fund.

This is a critical role within the business and you will be expected to hit the ground running. The successful candidate will have an excellent network of private equity investors, corporate sponsors and advisors. It is important that highly numerical and have a sound understanding of company accounts.  This will suit someone from a Real Estate PE firm who wants to work with a niche, well capitalised European investor.
