Senior Asset Manager

This is a Senior Asset Management role, working on a collection of unique London commercial assets.  It is an opportunity to move into a client-side role and take ownership of a mixed portfolio.  We are seeking a RICS qualified Surveyor with a valuations and asset management background either from the public or private sector.  

The role encompasses all aspects of strategic asset management, including developing the efficiency of the assets, exploring options and opportunities to create value and maintaining optimum effectiveness of operational property.  You will work closely with internal clients to strategically plan and manage the portfolio to support service needs; evaluate underutilised assets; and identify and take forward the disposal of surplus assets. You will also undertake day to day property management seeking to maximise income from the third party portfolio within operational estate, through rent reviews, lease renewals and assignments.  The role will involve reviewing and implementing the overarching Corporate Property Asset Management Strategy and developing and delivering Asset Management Plans across the portfolio. 

• Lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews on commercial offices and retail portfolio. Both direct and through agents.
• Sale of development land in the City – direct exposure to developers on some of the flagship schemes in the City.
• Capital projects e.g. refurbishments, development of new buildings in association with our Property Projects Team. Full life cycle - from initial concept to build.
• Strategic appraisal of assets
• Open Spaces asset management – lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews.
• Some elements of day-to-day property management.

Candidates need to be RICS Chartered and come with experience of providing corporate advice on the management of operational assets.  You will understand project and asset management processes and governance and you will be familiar with reporting to a senior level and risk mitigation. Strategic commercial asset management experience and background is preferred and a track record of delivering innovative property solutions.
