Job Details
Senior Development Manager role working for growing and dynamic property company who own a prestigious property portfolio across London and Southern England. It’s an exciting time to join and shape the growth of this ambitious business who have sturdy growth plans. Their assets include a mix of retail, office, residential, leisure and mixed use properties and also focus on PRS and hotel sectors.
Responsibilities:
• Source development opportunities
• Produce feasibility and viability studies for development and refurbishment options on new acquisitions and existing portfolio assets
• Oversee all development and refurbishment activity on site with the support of the in-house project management team
• Produce development appraisals, budgets and performance targets for approval
• Brief the project team on specification, required areas, timescale and budget
• Manage the planning process to secure successful consents
• Overall responsibility for the performance of the projects – delivery of the construction on time and on budget and letting and selling to deliver or exceed the required performance measures
• Report monthly to the Board on construction progress and performance and market status – enquiries, competition, take up, pipeline, ERV, void and incentives
• Attend monthly site meetings to provide instructions to the site team and ensure the project is being delivered on time and on budget
• Appoint and manage a leasing/sales team to let/sell the property
Requirements:
• RICS (qualified)
• Previous private property company/developer experience
• Relevant experience in complicated London refurbishments and developments
• Heritage and listed building experience preferred
• A focus on enhancing value, quality and consistency as well as cost control
• A dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the team and deliver the exciting growth plan
