Business Manager - London Estates Delivery Unit

Greater London Authority

Central London

£48,437 per annum

Ref: GLA/LEDU/BM

Influence the transformation of London’s NHS estate, while supporting wider public sector goals, such as affordable housing.

This is a unique opportunity to support city-wide changes that will create a new future for London’s health and social care estate. The NHS is London’s largest landowner, with a combined estate around three times greater than Hyde Park. But with large areas currently not fit-for-purpose, the estate needs significant transformation.

That is where a highly performing business manager with a strong track record of co-ordinating and organising administrative and business support requirements, like yourself, comes in. You will act as the primary liaison across the core and ‘virtual’ teams and support the London Estates Delivery Unit (LEDU) Programme Director to achieve the London Estates Board (LEB) objectives.

The LEDU is made up of a body of estates and associated organisations operating as a single unit through in-house and partner arrangements hosted by the GLA and jointly funded with London partners. The LEDU aims to support the five London Strategic Transformation Partnerships (STP’s) to deliver their respective strategic estate priorities, by providing access to expert resource at the appropriate time and also a point of escalation to resolve issues at pace.

You will be required to provide expert support including the development and ongoing management of operational, governance, IT and risk-based processes to a mixed team of estate professionals working towards the delivery of excellent health and care facilities across the capital and enabling wider public sector objectives to be achieved, including new affordable homes.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (169 Union Street SE1 0LL).

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share. We will also consider reduced hours arrangements (minimum 32 hours per week).

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.

If you have a question about the role or the recruitment process then please contact a member of the recruitment team via email on glajobs@london.gov.uk quoting reference GLA/LEDU/BM.
