HERTSMERE DEVELOPMENT LTD
SENIOR PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS MANAGER
(Fixed term for 1 year – initially 2-3 days a week, with regular review of the scope for extension/increase of hours, subject to demand and performance)
SALARY: c. £50,000+ per annum, pro rata (negotiable depending on experience) plus a generous benefits package
RESPONSIBLE TO: Hertsmere Development Ltd(HDL) Management Board (based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic/creative property development professional to take forward new flagship assets for HDL, which is an ‘arms length’ income generating business of Hertsmere Borough Council. This will involve managing the transfer of key assets from the council and developing them for housing or commercial use, as directed by the Board, ensuring that completed projects are of the highest build and design quality to bring the ‘wow’ factor to Hertsmere’s built environment.
An early priority will be the preparation of robust business cases for projects, with clear objectives, outcomes and detailed budgets. The post-holder will procure and manage external professional service teams and main contractors as required and assume full budgetary responsibility for projects.
The post holder will make a vital contribution to the development of the Company’s commercial property strategy and will be accountable to the HDL Board for efficient and effective programme management including the achievement of anticipated returns on investment within the agreed tolerances for projects.
If you are a qualified property professional with the vision, drive and experience to take on the challenges of transforming Hertsmere’s commercial property portfolio, we would be delighted to hear from you.
For an informal discussion please contact Judith Fear, Head of Human Resources, at Hertsmere Borough Council on 020 8207 7475.
