ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER - CENTRAL LONDON
Company Objective

Job Objective
Manage refurbishment and development projects and provide operational assistance to the Senior Project Manager.
Ensure all performance targets are met whilst complying with contractual, legislative and client requirements.
Job Description
In accordance with the Procedures Manual (as amended from time to time) and reporting to the Senior Project Manager:
• Liaising with clients, advisors and contractors to advise on refurbishment projects.
• Managing approved projects, including the preparation and agreement of job specifications, obtaining tenders, advising on costs and obtaining capital authorisation, preparation of approved contracts, instructing and monitoring contractors, signing off work and dealing with all snagging and contract liability issues.
• Reporting to the client in respect of any additional works which may be required during a project; advising on costs and seeking authorisation for any additional works.
• Ensuring compliance with all CDM, risk assessment and health and safety issues in connection with any works.
• Where necessary, advising on, and ensuring compliance with, all planning, building regulation, listed building and licensing requirements.
• Carrying out ad hoc inspections on behalf of the management teams in Bath and Milton Keynes or other offices where required and submit reports in agreed formats.
• Assisting in all areas of project management, including site visits and the monitoring of contractors performance and costs against agreed specification and timescale
•Assisting the Senior Project Manager in the development and maintaining of a suitable and reliable contractor base and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
•Providing advice on marketing, valuation and rental issues in respect of property/site requirements and costs.
• Supervise the marketing and property preparation process, to include identifying, specifying and authorising work and approving payments.
• Meeting with clients, developers and contractors as required ensuring that portfolio performance is maximised.
• Referring all complaints to line manager on date of receipt and dealing with complaints in accordance with proscribed company procedures and timescales.
• Attending training courses as required and adhering to company operational and administrative procedures at all times.
Skills Required:
• Experience of repair and refurbishment contracts, an understanding of refurbishment, small works and maintenance and a knowledge of health and safety
• Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
