Head of Property (Retail)

The Client:
Our client is a leading specialist retailer with over 350 stores throughout the UK. The business requires a Head of Property to drive a more commercial approach to estates management and oversee the property function, managing both internal teams and external agents and consultants.

The Role:
This position will report to the Finance Director and is a broad role responsible for the management of the existing estate and working with the Board of Directors to develop an acquisitions and disposals strategy. You will also oversee the store development and maintenance functions via internal teams.

What we’re looking for:
To be considered you will have a retail (or leisure) property / estates management background and a track record of commercial landlord and tenant negotiations. The client is looking for candidates who have a broad property background so additional acquisitions experience is also useful, as is experience of managing store development and maintenance functions.
