My client is an established developer who require a qauntity surveyor to work a short term contract, c4 weeks, to cover holiday and sickness.

The successful candidate will be office based and will cover the duties of a quantity surveyor.

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - London

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with RC frame experience to work for a top tier Residential Developer in East London.

Role & Responsibilities

The role will involve working closely with a Senior QS on a landmark scheme 25 storey RC Frame development in Shoreditch reporting into the Commercial Manager. You will have joint day to day commercial responsibility of the scheme which profiles at 25 storey (RC), 250 units, 3 year build programme JV which a leading Housing Association.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills along with a pro-active approach to achieving pre-determined deadlines for monthly reporting on all of the commercial aspects associated with individual contracts. Main responsibilities will be to have commercial responsibility running the scheme along with the SQS. The role will include regular weekly reviews of cost and value with monthly financial analysis and forecast meetings. The position will be 50% office based, 50% site based.

Duties will include:

• Sub contract and design procurement
• Management of performance measures including KPI’s
• Management of the production of all contracts/subcontracts etc
• Working closely with the Project Managers on all commercial and contractual issues
• Responsible for forecasting / cost loading of schedule
• Managing contractual issues on project
• Management of the risk process
• Liaison with the Environment Agency
• Liaison with Environment Agency Cost Consultants on Cost Audits

Experience Required

A minimum of 3-4 years experience within a developer ESSENTIALLY on new build RC Frame residential schemes, and ideally currently operating as an Intermediate QS.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Surrey

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor within house building sector located in Surrey. The role is for a well-established national house builder.

Project Overview:

The project is a large High Spec RC Frame new build development consisting of 220 units.

Role & Responsibilities:

The role will be site-based in Surrey and involve working independently reporting into the Commercial Director. You will have overall responsibility for the day to day commercial activities of a large RC Frame new build development.

The role will include regular weekly reviews of cost and value with monthly financial analysis and forecast meetings with the Management team.
