The surveying profession continues to face new legislation, regulations, processes and technology updates, CVS believe it’s imperative that their surveyors keep up to date with their personal professional development to ensure they can keep on providing a ‘World Class’ service to their Clients.
With this in mind, CVS hosts a free CPD event for Surveyors twice a year from their London office; this is open to all members of the commercial property sector. These events are extremely well attended and they also provide a fantastic opportunity to network with others in the business rent and rates marketplace.
Over the last couple of years, previous CVS CPD events have covered topics such as ‘The Role of the Surveyor as the Expert Witness’, ‘Recent Case Law and the Potential Impact on Future Appeals’, and most recently in April this year, ‘Ratio Decidendi, Obiter and the Role of Precedent’ which was hosted by Rating Member and CVS Senior Rating Consultant, Tony Eden BSc (Est Man) FRICS Dip.
CVS’ November seminar ‘A Landlord & Tenant Update’ will offer an insight into lease renewals and the future of the institutional lease coupled with options for renewal such as PACT with a case law update from a legal perspective.
This session will be led by Wayne Clark, Lawyer at Falcon Chambers, and Graham Chase, Chartered Arbitrator at Chase and Partners.
CPD is a requirement of membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and it means that members of the RICS are committed to continually updating their skills and knowledge in order to remain professionally competent. This seminar will count two hours towards your annual CPD requirement.
