Ian Thomas, International Director for DTZ took time out of his busy schedule to answer a few of our questions. DTZ is a global leader in property services providing occupiers and investors around the world with industry leading, end-to-end property solutions.

Why should a candidate want to work for DTZ?

DTZ is going through a significant period of growth. This means there are a wide variety of career opportunities across the business allowing ambitious and successful employees to progress their career quickly.

What kind of clients can a candidate expect to work with?

Varied! Combination of global, in country and local, owners and occupiers. Our clients are many of the most prestigious and well known in the real estate sector.  We also ensure that our employees work with their peers in client organisations at all stages of their career.

How has your career progressed whilst you have been with the company?

I joined as a graduate in 1985, in London and I have since held various roles including working in regional offices in England and Wales.  I returned to London eight years ago and have worked on projects in Europe and elsewhere.  There are some great opportunities at DTZ if you are prepared to put yourself forward and go out there and explore them.   

What would you say is the best thing about working for DTZ?

The DTZ DNA and the positive impact it has with clients and colleagues.  The culture at DTZ is very collaborative.  All employees are encouraged to work with their immediate team as well as others across the business so we can ensure that the best team is always working for our clients.  Senior members go out of their way to assist more junior staff and help them progress their careers.

What does the rest of 2015 look like for DTZ?
