Salary: £41,233- £44,001 per annum / pro rata (POC)

Hours: 37 hours per week.

The role-
The Property Department are responsible for managing the Council’s diverse commercial property portfolio and are seeking a qualified surveyor to join the small team. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied workload which will include all aspects of commercial property management including Landlord and Tenant matters, valuations for a variety of purposes and  property reviews and the provision of advice on disposals and acquisitions and the development of Council owned land and property.
The post involves travel across the Borough for which an essential car user allowance is payable.

Essential qualifications/experience-

The postholder will be expected to have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and IT skills and be able to work unsupervised and on own initiative. Previous experience of commercial property management is essential as well as Professional Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS/FRICS)

Desirable qualifications/experience-

Local Authority experience is desirable but not essential.
