Overview of role:

Reporting to the Person in Charge (PIC) of the construction project the Assistant Project Manager will liaise closely with the project team in the UK. There may be a requirement from time to time to assist other projects, which the Company may have. The incumbent will be required to assist with early concept designs, administration management, site review and monitoring activities, along with occasional ad-hoc facilities management contract needs on our existing London buildings portfolio.

Main Duties:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Essential skills, attributes & qualifications

  • A first degree BA/BSc in Architecture or Engineering
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
  • Stakeholder management – both internal and client facing
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Detailed


  • Professional Qualification or working towards one
  • Previous experience of working for a property development company
  • Previous experience in a consultancy design role
  • Previous experience working onsite as a contractor
  • Previous experience of working for a HK company or other international experience
  • Ideally with large residential project experience; transferrable skills will also be of benefit
