We are looking for an ambitious, motivated and driven individual to join our high performing Corporate Property Team at an exciting time. Welwyn Hatfield is looking ahead and is adapting to continue to be at the forefront of best practice and to be financially self-sustainable. We have recently undertaken extensive management restructuring and the Council has a number of major property projects underway to deliver on the modernisation agenda. Reporting to the Estates Manager your role will be to assist in providing a comprehensive commercial property service as a key part of the Estates Team.
You will be dealing with all estates management issues arising on the Council’s extensive property portfolio. This will involve assisting in the procurement and supervision of external consultants, organising and attending meetings as well as rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments, tenant enquiries, and general enquiries from the public. You will, ideally, be a qualified Chartered Surveyor or at an advanced stage in pursuing the APC or will have strong relevant commercial estates experience and will be familiar with the workings of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 as amended.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
