Job Details
For an experienced Senior Development Manager, one factor that helps establish your career is working for an active and financially sound organisation that has a history in your property development and investment. Our client is one such organisation and this newly created role is part of their succession planning.
The objective is to appoint an experienced Development Manager who can focus on both development and investment issues across the Midlands.
With an ongoing pipeline of projects, you will assist in delivering both immediate development and long term projects. With a strong reputation for delivering high quality "product" the expectation is to appoint a development professional who can not only identify opportunities but also deliver to these standards.
• Identify new development and land acquisitions
• Identify, appraise, research and run through development feasibility investigations and market analysis
• Prepare bids/submissions for tenders and represent the Company at interviews
• Negotiate terms on purchases and a potential sale.
• Assemble development teams including architects, engineers, employers agents etc.
• Actively promote sites through the local plan process
• Support Directors and other senior members of staff in maximising the profitability of schemes.
We're seeking a candidate who has demonstrable development experience across the Midlands region where you can utilise your contacts and knowledge in maintaining the company's objectives. As Senior Development Manager you will be comfortable with managing the delivery of your own projects and have an in-depth understanding of the UK commercial property markets and planning system.
Skills we seeking:-
• RICS / RTPI accredited degree
• Full Membership of either the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or the Royal Town Planning Institute
• A minimum of 5+ years’ development experience in a commercial environment where you have project managed commercial, residential and strategic schemes
• Knowledge and experience in the Midlands/surrounding market
• Detailed knowledge of the development and construction planning process and local/national planning policy as well as development management
