Associate - Hotels and Hospitality Capital Markets EMEA

A leading Hotels & Hospitality division of a Global Real Estate consultancy is currently seeking an Associate to join their Capital Markets EMEA business line. 

Responsibilities include:

• Participating in all parts of transaction processes.
• Building strong, lasting relationships with both existing and new target clients.
• Developing financial models that can evaluate the effects of different strategic alternatives under varying capital structure scenarios.
• Supervising, reviewing and directly supporting the preparation of high quality presentation materials for client pitches, investor information memoranda, and other transaction-related marketing documents.
• Mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Working seamlessly with the wider EMEA team to deliver pan-EMEA portfolio transactions alongside UK transactions.

Requirements:

• RICS or CFA part or fully qualified an advantage; along with a working knowledge of hotel investment, valuation, M&A, development, debt and asset management processes.
• A good knowledge of the hotels & hospitality real estate sector or similar property sector with 2-3 years’ experience in an investment bank, hotel operator or hospitality investor/advisor.
• An understanding of regulatory dynamics and the potential impact on the hospitality industry.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills facilitating key client, stakeholder and team management
• An agile approach combined with excellent financial modelling, analytical and execution skills
• Advanced MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook required; Salesforce desirable.
• Ability to travel throughout Europe essential. European language skills desirable
