We are assisting an expanding retailer on the recruitment of two Estates Management roles! The company are keen to add to their already impressive in-house property team with two ambitious individuals.

They are looking for Estates Managers to focus on lease renewals, rent reviews as well as acquisitions and disposals. This is the perfect opportunity for a retail-based surveyor who wants to further advance their skillset!

Core Duties:

  • It will be your responsibility manage a portfolio of circa. 200 stores, this will vary between high street, OOT retail parks and within Shopping Centres.
  • Working with and managing a team of external consultants, this includes agents, solicitors & building surveyors.
  • Disposing of a significant portfolio of stores (both trading and non-trading) and minimising exposure to vacant property costs where possible.
  • Managing all occupational property costs to a minimum, managing rent reviews and lease renewals as well as acquisitions and disposals.
  • Working closely with the Store Development team, this will involve managing the acquisitions process from identification through to the opening of the doors.

Requirements:

  • Ideally, this person will be an MRICS chartered Surveyor with a between 1 - 5 years PQE.
  • Experience in retail property, new store acquisitions, disposals, estate management and budgetary control would be an advantage.
  • Extensive range of external property contacts and property knowledge.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a good communicator at all levels.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
