Senior Chartered Building Surveyor - Birmingham

*IMMEDIATE START* Chartered Senior Building Surveyor -Up to £55,000 per annum + Car allowance + Benefits – Birmingham City

My client, an independent property consultancy requires a Chartered Senior/ Building Surveyor to work in their Birmingham office. The ideal candidate needs to have commercial experience, be a good communicator, self-motivated and have a good eye for detail. In return, you will provide a full range of services for a diverse client base including occupiers, investors and developers.

Projects range from corporate, retail, residential, mixed use, investment companies, lenders, central and local Government sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice on a wide range of property types
• Develop and manage client relationships to ensure that business is managed in an efficient
• Manage the team in achieving target and growing the business line
• Manage and develop junior members of the team
• Project management and contract administration
• Dilapidations, landlord and tenant advice
• Fire reinstatement valuations
• Planned preventative maintenance reports
• Party-wall matters
• Pre-acquisition surveys- technical due diligence on a range of commercial properties

Skills and Experience

• MRICS Qualification with 2-3 PQE
• A proven track record in ensuring business operational and financial targets are met
• Strong understanding of all building consultancy disciplines, M&E installations and contract management
• Strong people management skills
• Good attention to detail, with a strong numerical and written ability
• Able to write clear, concise reports with well-argued conclusions & recommendations
• Target driven and able to work at pace
• Full UK driving license
• Knowledge of AUTOCAD
