My client requires a strategic land manager to cover the eastern counties. My client, a major house builder, based out of Chelmsford, have an unparalleled reputation for being at the forefront of the market. My client's sites vary in size ranging from 75 units to 1500 units+. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual wanting to expand the landbank of a growing and thriving house builder.
The role will be entirely focused on strategically acquiring new land and promoting existing land to ensure the aims and objectives of my client are met. The suitable candidate will be reporting directly to the Development Director, which will provide the opportunity to work alongside a very experienced land team, bolstering their knowledge and offering great career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing new development opportunities using a variety of strategic methods Managing the due diligence, legalities and offer phases Undertaking negotiations of the land acquisitions Carry out community engagements Managing the promotion of the land bank Liaising with owners/agents and carrying out viability assessments
The correct candidate will have:
- A geographical knowledge of the Eastern counties area (Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk) A firm understanding of the planning process and land acquisition process A proven history of successful land promotion Ideally educated to degree level (preferably a relevant qualification eg. Planning) An expansive contact base Fantastic communication skills with the ability to network
