PSD have been exclusively instructed by a listed Pan European Real Estate Investor / Manager with over £6bn in AUM.  The business has a truly global presence with hundreds of assets across Europe & Asia, and a solid track record of investment in Europe.  They have now launched a new REIT which invests in Pan-European assets mainly in France, Germany & the Netherlands, and the assets include a mix of industrial / logistics and offices.  The business is looking for an EMEA Senior Tax Manager who will be responsible for management of the tax compliance and reporting requirements of the REIT and additional mandates across the business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Actively managing the pan-European tax position of all mandates for the REIT and wider business.
  • Manage the tax risk of REIT in line with the Tax Risk Management Policy
  • Procure and manage tax advice for new transactions, tax efficiency, law changes, and structuring opportunities for all relevant mandates
  • Manage the tax compliance and reporting requirements for all relevant mandates in consultation with the relevant fund controller.
  • Manage REIT’s tax outsourcing arrangements in consultation with the relevant fund controllers

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate and have the following attributes/skills:

  • Big 4 / Top 10 trained, with over 10 years’ experience in Tax
  • ATT / CTA / European equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrate understanding of tax structures, experience of tax advice for transactions (acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, restricting) including VAT & cross border transfer taxes.
  • A progressive career in International Tax, with demonstrable experience of working within/for a globally listed business (preferable)
  • A natural leader capable of nurturing & developing relationships.
  • Capable of working with finance and partners on financial reporting & tax accounting requirements to deliver deadlines on time.
  • Good understanding & experience of strategic management projects including monitoring changes in legislation / administrative change; and can develop a good understanding of the REIT & tax implications
