Head of Development, Leading UK Investor and Developer, London

PSD are retained by a leading property investor and developer to seek a Head of Development for the business.  Based in London, you will report to the CEO on all matters relating to the delivery of the development pipeline, new business, Joint Ventures, and oversight of a diverse team of property experts across the UK.   The role consists of:

• To provide leadership role on all the Development activity to ensure delivery of complex multi-phase mixed tenure projects.
• Oversight of internal development teams and external management teams on programmes, including JV partnerships.
• Work with both internal and external stakeholders to drive and deliver business strategies that deliver returns for the group and partners.  
• Develop a development strategy to deliver the business objectives and deliver new business opportunities
• Lead the development programmes through all stages of the lifecycle from site acquisition through to Construction phase managing all commercial and legal entities.
• Lead on maintaining external relationships and taking full P&L responsibility
• sitting on Client boards ensuring that relationships and stakeholders and their needs are managed effectively
• Support the delivery of winning new JVs and enhancing opportunities on existing partnerships

You will have:

• Substantial commercial level development experience delivering complex multiphase mixed tenure projects
• Effective and substantial Senior Leadership
• Degree and equivalent level formal qualification i.e. RICS
• Successful track record of running complex and various types of development projects and identifying new commercial opportunities
• Excellent communication skills both verbal, presentation and written formats to work across all levels of the hierarchy both internal and client side
