Senior Planner (Bedford)

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Associate Town Planner to join an expanding consultancy in Bedfordshire. This firm have an excellent reputation in the market and you will be joining an established team of friendly and supportive professionals.

We are looking for candidates with at least three years' experience ideally gained in a consultancy environment, but local authority experience will also be considered. You will hold an RTPI accredited master's degree and subsequently be MRTPI qualified (or close to achieving it). This role offers the chance to work on a broad spectrum of projects including residential, mixed-use and commercial schemes. Your duties will include (but are not limited to); preparing and submitting planning applications, writing planning statements, local plan representation and appeal work, preparing site appraisals and attending site visits. You should have excellent report writing skills and be confident in client facing situations. As a senior planner you should be able to manage small to medium scale projects independently and assist on larger scale. You should be driven, conscientious and keen to learn, enjoy networking and dealing with a wide range of professionals as well as having strong communication and presentation skills.
