Development Manager

My client is a family owned, forward thinking and thriving developer who is currently looking for a Development Manager to join their growing team. My client is mainly involved within the hospitality sector, but also develops in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. This is an opportunity that will provide exposure to a variety of exciting property developments whilst enabling the suitable candidate to work alongside highly experienced and ambitious individuals.

Some examples of the developments my client has been involved with are as follows:

• 100-1000 bedroom hotels across the UK with franchise agreements
• High end residential 8-unit developments
• Submitting planning applications for 1,000,000 sq ft sites.

Gaining planning on developments to add value is a primary method of my client, so, a candidate with a good planning knowledge will be preferred.

Key responsibilities:

• Sourcing of new development opportunities
• Assessing project viability and suitability
• Running development appraisals and cashflows
• Identifying and evaluating asset management and value creation initiatives Sourcing and interpreting comparable evidence and providing valuations (internal use)
• Liaising with solicitors on sales and purchases

Ideal skills and experience:

• Previous property development experience
• A good knowledge of planning applications
• Proven track record of delivering successful schemes in Central London
• Good negotiation skills and understanding of property investment and deal mechanics
• Analytical skills and understanding of financial's
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative
