Residential / PRS Asset Manager - Investment Management Company

Investment Management company with a great reputation in the value add and opportunistic space, are looking for an Asset Manager to focus on their Residential and PRS portfolio. The role will focus on the strategic management of existing portfolios, largely comprising of residential assets with some commercial.  The portfolio comprises of traditional residential units (individual flats and houses), PRS blocks and development opportunities across the UK including London, South East, and the Midlands.  The intention of the business is to continue growing the residential side of the business and they are continually looking for new investment and development opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

• Work to maximise income and minimise operational expenses by working with operational staff
• Identify and implement initiatives to add value to existing assets e.g. refurbishments to drive higher rents or sale values
• Manage third party agents and solicitors for letting and sale transactions
• Manage capital expenditure programmes by working closely with third party contractors
• Update cashflows of existing assets under management and run sensitivity analysis of asset management initiatives
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to banks and investors
• Assist in the underwriting and acquisition of new opportunities

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally MRICS qualified with 1-3 years PQE
• Confident and willing to adopt a “hands on” approach to asset management
• Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision on projects
• Committed to maintaining high standards and an eye for detail
• Financially numerate and able to run cash flow models in Excel
