Estates Surveyor

My client is a leading leisure operator with a quality portfolio.

They currently require an estates surveyor to join the small but highly focused property team. This is a great opportunity to develop a varied “client side” Estates role.

The Role

Reporting to Senior Manager the Estates surveyor will be a self-starter providing assistance on all estates management issues, particularly on the non-operational portfolio. 

Responsibilities

Led by and working alongside the senior manager the estate surveyor has responsibility for primarily the following areas of activity:

General estate management’ matters

Leased-in estate management (Landlord & Tenant) & costs control

Full responsibility for the management of all service charges paid in the estate. Challenging and ensuring best value for the business.

Full responsibility for the management of BIDS paid by the company across the estate.

Managing day to day general landlord/tenant queries, involving lease obligations, liaising with Property Managers and other internal departments.

Dealing with any neighbour issues, such as trespass matters, access and egress rights etc.

Working closely with the in house property solicitor on matters that require escalation.

Preparing weekly and monthly update reports for the business as required.

Person

Ideally professional qualified you will possess a commercial approach, excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ideally MRICS qualified, or working towards it.
