Job Details
An entrepreneurial commercial investment and development company who own and manage a rapid expanding portfolio are seeking a Development Manager to join the small and dynamic team. The portfolio has grown through acquiring value add investments in sought after locations and then developing assets through major refurbishments, planning and development.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for managing the development process from inception through to successful delivery of projects.
- Work on elements of the new and current schemes including appraisals, feasibility and delivery
- Overseeing planning applications
- Receive and communicate clear briefs to asset manager and consultants
- Close collaboration with colleagues to define product and enable successful lettings
- Cost management against agreed project budgets and approved capex.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience in commercial real estate development
- Experience in running complex strategic developments from conception through to completion
- Must possess a high degree of commercial acumen and have a good understanding of commercial property transactions.
- A good understanding of proactive Asset Management.
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Must have a detailed knowledge of development appraisals and the technical and legal processes associated with planning, design and procurement of both refurbishment and new build projects.
- Highly collaborative, personable and persuasive approach.
