Your new role
As part of our continued growth, Eastleigh Borough Council are now seeking a Senior Asset Manager, to provide a commercially focussed asset management service across our £230M plus investment and operational property portfolio. Our investment property portfolio is attractive and diverse, encompassing an array of property types from leisure facilities, such as the distinguished Ageas Bowl, through to multi-let offices, retail sites and industrial estates.

The investment portfolio plays an integral part in generating an income into the Council, which in turn is invested back into services, and will require you to provide support across a number of property related accountabilities to ensure strategic corporate objectives are met.

Key accountabilities will include;

  • Undertaking all aspects of property asset management to maximise value and income.
  • Identifying and negotiating on investment acquisitions, disposals and letting opportunities.
  • Undertaking and negotiating on lease renewals, rent reviews and licences.
  • Preparing service charge budgets and reconciliations
  • Providing specialist property advice and supporting on more complex Council projects.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed as the Senior Asset Manager, you will have considerable, proven experience within an asset or estate management role. A good working knowledge of property management is essential, with desirable experience in undertaking property acquisitions and disposals.

As the successful candidate, you will also hold a property related degree and full membership of the RICS (MRICS/FRICS).
