The Project Manager is a senior site leader and has overall responsibility for the delivery of the project(s) to include, but not be limited to, financial performance of the contract (with support from the QS). The key elements of this role are to co-ordinate all aspects of the Contract, pre-construction, design procurement and build functions and to ensure that the project meets the client's expectations. The Project Manager will carry out their work in accordance with all of the relevant standard operating procedures in line with the Health and Safety policy. The Project Manager will prepare and maintain the PEP and also look for opportunities for the Company to add additional value or enhance the profit achieved through the delivery of the project.

Construction and Design

  • Lead all aspect of Project Team functions (PEP, Risk & Commercial Success, Financials, Processes, HSEQS, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management & Project Close Out)
  • Manage, through others, consultant and subcontract design as required by the contract including delivery of the BIM strategy
  • Compile and implement the Project Execution Plan
  • Manage information flow and information required schedules
  • Prepare reports and attend Design Team Progress Meetings
  • Prepare contract report and with the QS, provide updates to monthly cost meetings
  • Review buildability and identify methods of construction with commercial or programme advantage where possible
  • Oversee and manage design appointments/novation's and DRM (may not apply in all jurisdictions)
  • Protect the company's contractual position with correspondence, information and/or notices as required
  • Monitor overall site progress against the programme
  • Take responsibility for executing and planning to create an excellent working environment where positive H&S behaviours are clearly demonstrated
  • Agree programmes with subcontractors and monitor progress with the SM
  • Prepare applications for extensions of time in conjunction with the QS
  • Ensure the general professional appearance of the site positively markets the company
  • Prepare lists of outstanding works and completion programmes to ensure a timely finish of the project
  • Prepare and deliver the Contract Value monthly reports as required
  • Ensure that complaints received on site are settled
  • Manage S/C including S/C progress meetings and S/C pre-order meetings

Knowledge and Experience

  • Good working knowledge of Design and Build JCT and NEC3 contracts as well as with BREEAM/LEED
  • Typically 7 years' experience working in the relevant sector or a minimum of 2-3 projects delivered across different industry sectors
  • Demonstrable holistic 'end to end' Programme Management experience

  • Track record of the delivery of excellent standards and behaviours in HSEQS

Required Qualifications/Training

  • Academic and or Professional qualification in construction related subject. Ideally chartered
  • CSCS for Managers, SMSTS, CDM/PSCS Awareness, BBS, Root Cause Analysis & S5 & Q10 internal workshops.
