Valuation Surveyor (Public Sector)

Hays Property and Surveying are seeking an experienced Valuation Surveyor to join the in-house property team of an ambitious and forward thinking Public Sector organisation in Hampshire.

The organisation holds a large and diverse multi-million pound portfolio of property and land assets, that serves as a key source income for further operations, investment and development. This includes all core property sectors from industrial parks, retail units, offices and leisure.

The in-house property team are responsible for providing a range of professional property advice and expertise on day-to-day management, valuation, investment, development, regeneration and capital projects, whilst looking to maximise return on existing assets.

Your new role
Your role as the in-house Valuation Surveyor is to lead and undertake the organisation's valuation function. This will encompass undertaking valuations of land and property for a variety of purposes, in addition to supporting colleagues with other valuation related work across the department.

Specific jobs and responsibilities will include;

• Producing and counter signing a variety of commercial valuations
• Undertaking valuations for portfolios, development and investment
• Produce the organisations annual valuation certificate
• On occasion, undertake valuations in relation for residential properties
• Support and supervise colleagues who sit within the Valuation department

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed within in the role you will need;

• MRICS Qualified
• RICS Registered Valuer
• 4-5 years PQE in undertaking a range of complex commercial property valuations
• Proficient knowledge of commercial property and landlord and tenant work
• Desirably experience of working within, or on behalf of, the a Public Sector organisation
• Strong levels of enthusiasm, professionalism and drive
