Regional Facilities Manager - Commercial - OUR CLIENT is a successful and private investment company who own a large portfolio of mixed use properties in and around London and other parts of the UK. They have now appointed us to recruit a Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing their commercial portfolio and be actively out on site and visiting the estate.

THE ROLE of the successful candidate will include but not limited to:

  • Applying effective professional FM skills as a member of the commercial property department under the leadership of the Head of Department / Real Estate.
  • Undertaking FM tasks as required by the Head of Commercial Property to include tenant liaison.
  • Responsible for ensuring information on the property database is kept up-to-date regarding properties managed and any project dealt with.
  • Carrying out property inspections.
  • Developing and maintaining close working relations with tenants to facilitate the flow of information and ensuring that maintenance issues are managed proactively and effectively.
  • Managing service charge and landlord expenditure budgets.
  • Managing of Hard and Soft services.
  • Supporting Health and Safety policies across various sites.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to management surveyors on responsive repairs and voids maintenance works.
  • Monitoring and reporting financial expenditure against agreed project budgets, report variances and make recommendations to senior management ensuring value for money and efficiency savings at all times.
  • Assisting the Head of Commercial Property with setting planned maintenance budgets and monitoring spend against budget, to produce statistical performance and management information on projects.

THE PERSON: To apply, you MUST have previous experience working in the Commercial FM sector in a similar role. You will spend most of your time 'on the road' and be home based with regular weekly touch points at the office. The candidate must have good communication skills both verbal/written as you will be liaising with clients internally/externally. The successful candidate should be a team player and must be 'hands on' as this is an active and leadership role.
