Our client is an internationally renowned house builder, looking to recruit an experienced Senior / Technical Co-ordinator to work on a new high rise project in Birmingham. Priding themselves on their enviable reputation as well as their commitment to design, they seek a driven individual with a strong track record of delivering exceptional projects on time and budget.
Reporting to a Technical Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinating the design and regulatory approval process for residential housing developments from the point of handover from the land department, through to completion of build.
- Liaison with in house departments, external stake holders and clients to ensure that designs are fully coordinated
- Ensuring that designs comply with both internal company policy requirements and all necessary regulatory approvals
- Monitoring the design in line with the development programme and ensure that the latest information is issued to relevant parties and maintained on document management system
- Reporting technical & development fees
You’ll have proven experience in residential housing and apartments and will be an accomplished Technical Co-ordinator or Design Co-ordinator with major scheme experience, wanting to work for a business that prides itself on excellent staff retention as well as providing a quality product. The role requires a working knowledge of the current Building Regulations and sewer/highway Section Agreements. You’ll have a construction/design related qualification e.g. HNC/HND/Degree and ideally be a member of a professional body such as CIOB/RIBA/RICS.
