About the Client
My client is the development arm of an international asset management and investment firm.
Housing is a major growth opportunity for the group and is a high profile initiative supported by the main board.
About the Job
The post holder’s primary responsibility will be the assessment and execution of residential-led partnership projects, including setting and delivering the business plan for each investment.
The role will work across two sector heads (affordable and regeneration), focussing on large-scale residential-led schemes for joint ventures and key public and private sector partnerships opportunities.
The post holder will also be expected to get involved with all aspects of deal evaluation and execution, including initial investment appraisal, financial analysis, co-ordination & review of due diligence, forming recommendations, reviewing transaction documentation and as well as on-going portfolio management in respect of partnership projects as required.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years relevant work experience, preferably in real estate development and partnerships
- Excellent quantitative skills, including familiarity with DCF modelling, to manage and interrogate cash flows and to develop recommendations for a variety of senior audience
- Strong written and verbal communication, familiarity with report writing for a variety of audiences
- Ability to develop and agree business strategies tailored to specific opportunities and assets and report on these on a regular basis.
- Effectively and pro-actively manage an external team of consultants to meet the milestone dates within the business plan whilst keeping to agreed budgets.
- Ability to assess and analyse investment opportunities from first principles
- Commercially astute and entrepreneurially minded
- Key negotiation skills and experience across a wide range of land acquisition and structuring issues.
- Understanding of a wide range of projects - housing / retailing / mixed-use / schools
- Strong and demonstrable track record of interacting well with large range of stakeholders across private and public sectors
