This is your opportunity to work on a working World Heritage site which attracts visitors from all over the globe, in a challenging stakeholder environment where conservation and the need to innovate and build for the future coincide. The Northern Estate Programme (NEP) has been established to manage the comprehensive refurbishment and redevelopment of a number of significant historic buildings on the Parliamentary Estate in preparation for the decant of the Palace of Westminster to enable the Restoration and Renewal programme to commence.
This is an interesting role and a unique project to be a part of -as Deputy Head of PMO in NEP you will be instrumental in setting up new processes and governance, managing risk registers and quality assurance measures, as well as managing all aspects of the programme management office.
Supporting the Head of PMO in managing the PMO activities across the programme, you will develop and maintain the programme methodologies and standards in line with Parliamentary policies and best practice as well as providing accurate information to enable the Programme Director and Board to facilitate decision making and manage the programme effectively.
What you’ll need
You will have a recognised advanced practitioner qualification in programme or project management disciplines e.g. MSP or PRINCE2 or similar and demonstrable experience supporting similar complex programme management offices.
Ideally you will have team management experience and be confident in managing absence and performance on an individual level. You’ll also need strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to influence and persuade at all levels. Experience within a construction related environment is essential.
