Senior Asset Manager

An international private real estate investment, development and asset manager. They are residential specialists and focus in multifamily, student housing, senior living and serviced apartments. My client has circa $7bn AUM globally and has created a brand with an impeccable track record with a presence in both Europe and the US.

They have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Asset manager to join their team in Germany. They have a growing student accommodation portfolio across multiple locations in Germany. They are looking for a senior member to their already established team to lead in the further expansion of this platform.

The successful candidate will initially drive the business plan of a value-add portfolio. Some assets with require a quick turnaround, while others need full refurbishment. You will liaise with asset management, acquisition and development teams in Germany as well as the headquarters in London.

To be successful in this role you will be:

• Effectively negotiating multi-million-pound, complex agreements
• Taking the lead on effectively managing clients' assets in line with their investment preference
• Driving business plan execution in close cooperation with the London HQ
• Providing oversight of the financial models across different investor platforms to monitor asset and deal level returns
• Determining the financial viability of refurbishment projects
• On-boarding new acquisitions into the existing investment portfolios
• Delivering creative financing solutions on each platform, negotiating and executing new debt packages where required
• Preparing regular investment reports and risk assessments of investments
• Effectively negotiating multi-million-pound, complex agreements

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Fluency in German and English
• 7+ years’ experience of asset management in real estate sector ideally in Residential or Student Housing
• Strong track record of underwriting and complex real estate transactions across Europe
