Your new company
A key client of mine in the public sector space has enlisted the services of Hays to source a senior level Head of Property candidate. There is lots happening in this busy organisation and they have like many other companies been going through a period of change.

Your new role
Working alongside other senior level managers, the directors and the board you will be responsible for overseeing a team of technical surveyors / project managers, responsive repairs, compliance and specialists. You will be able to provide technical advice when needed, be an influential person in delivering the cyclical maintenance and refurb programme, the corporate and procurement strategy, and will be involved in budgets, appraisals, ensuring the standards of the organisations are upheld and also will work closely with the development team regarding new builds and property,


What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong and proven history in property repairs, day to day maintenance etc and will be from a technical background where you have built your experience around legionella, asbestos, surveying, gas, fire etc. A natural leader who can motivate and inspire teams, you will be a key part of the management structure in developing and implementing plans. You will have a strategic head and the ability to think outside the box on complex property matters. A relevant qualification ie MCIOB, MRICS, HNC/D is required, and you will be fully aware of the challenges faced in housing.
