My client is market leading luxury /lifestyle hotel brand with a quality UK portfolio.

As a result of growth and major investment they require an Acquisition / Development manager to drive forward the South East acquisition plan.

The Role.

The Development / Acquisition Manager will be responsible for leading property acquisitions within the South East.

You will be a key senior figure supporting the Acquisition Director in all aspects of property acquisitions and will be responsible for liaising with commercial agents and developers to identify potential new sites, undertaking appraisals before putting them forward for the business’s consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a Real Estate Acquisition Plan in line with the 5 year Development pipeline plan.
  • Source acquisition opportunities through site identification, feasibility analysis and negotiation
  • Analyse the feasibility of potential development sites and schemes
  • Understand and negotiate all aspects of land and or property purchase agreements to determine the desired ROI
  • Create a robust lead generation process that delivers tangible prospects
  • Build on relationships with commercial agents and developers to ensure there is sufficient flow of new sites for the business to review.
  • Investigate, research, collect and analyse data and reports on industry, competitors and specific markets
  • Working closely with the Operational and functional support teams, manage the implementation of opportunities ‘from cradle to grave’.

The Person

  • Track record of leading a pro-active approach to deliver against acquisition targets.
  • Proven track record for closing deals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident, professional communicator; able to network and present engagingly and effectively at all levels, including colleagues, hoteliers, Board and at industry events.
  • Commercially astute, with a proven entrepreneurial approach to identifying development opportunities.
  • Ideally 5+ years’ proven acquisition / development experience (not necessarily within Hotels)
  • Professional qualified you will possess a commercial approach, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A bright and credible professional, you’ll already have a role with a strong customer-led approach and an imaginative, forward-thinking mind-set.
