Macdonald & Company are looking to recruit an experienced MRICS Senior Asset Manager to join their client based in Central London.
The Senior Commercial Asset Manager will be responsible for identifying commercial opportunities within a defined group of assets (e.g. Business Space, Retail, etc.) taking a strategic view across this asset grouping, with the aim of generating the maximum amount of income from the organisation's asset base.
The Senior Commercial Asset Manager will build excellent relationships with senior stakeholders within their respective asset area and will be responsible for facilitating delivery of commercial opportunities through the operating businesses. * Lead the development of strategy and plans for a specific group of assets, working with specialists teams across the wider organisation, to determine the most appropriate mix of opportunities. * Develop strong relationships with individual asset owners in the operating businesses and work with these individual asset or asset cluster owners to gain buy-in for commercial opportunities within their assets. * Manage a team of up to 2-3 Commercial Asset Managers and lead colleagues to identify commercial opportunities and coordinate development of suitable business cases and investment appraisals to ensure sign-off and delivery of opportunities. * Draw on close relationships with specific asset owners to identify delivery mechanisms to ensure that commercial opportunities can be delivered into operational assets, taking into account future operational requirements, commercial implications, as well as political sensitivities. * Forecast and review future income portfolio within respective assets and lead financial feasibility studies, investment appraisal and appropriate due diligence to ensure reliability of investment opportunities. * Compile asset performance benchmarking to determine opportunities to maximise revenue within the asset portfolio. * Development of active strategies for the realisation of increased value from commercial assets in accordance with other business functions, corporate objectives, Mayoral policies and other legal / statutory requirements and standards by applying business and market knowledge and leveraging opportunities identified.
