Revit / BIM Technician

An AJ100, award-winning London Architecture Studio are looking for an experienced Revit Technician to join their growing team. Our client is renowned for their high level of architectural design & detail with a portfolio of works from the Resi, Commercial & Education sectors. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years Revit experience on UK residential projects to be considered for the role. You will work across a variety of projects at different work stages responsible for the deliver of projects through detail design and construction phases.

The Role:

To provide support to architectural project teams across a number of projects at different work stages. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture / arch technology with advanced Revit content creation skills and a minimum of three years industry experience.

Key requirements:

- Assist project design teams in the delivery of technical packages. You will be required to assist in Revit modelling, content creation and information management on projects in line with office standards, protocols and procedures

- Support the BIM process and assisting the BIM Manager in ensuring ongoing projects are compliant with UK BIM standards and project specific BIM requirements. The candidate will be required to QA Revit projects including project browser, library objects, views, sheets and templates etc. in line with office protocols and standards.

- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and Dynamo is essential for the role as well as MS Excel for reports and schedules

- Take responsibility for the quality of own work, and consider ways of improving work processes

- Creation of Revit families as required for projects, understanding of COBie is highly desirable

- The candidate should have demonstrable experience using Navisworks with an understanding of clash detection simulations

- The candidate should be able to work well individually as well as within a team.

Preferred qualifications, skills and attitudes:

A degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology

Full understanding of UK Building Regs, British Standards and BIM L2 requirements

A minimum of 3 years professional experience.

Ability to demonstrate experience of taking projects from concept to completion.

Good time-management skills to meet multiple deadlines

Experience of coordination and scheduling.

Experience coordinating design with other consultants.

Experience in construction and bespoke detailing (RIBA stages 3-5)

Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail

Fluent in English - verbal and written.
