An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Development & Planning Surveryor to join a high performing, reputable boutique property developer based in London working on a range of Residential & Commercial projects.

Client Details

My Client is a growing property investment, development and management company with a passion for design and a drive to create quality spaces through considered architecture, the innovative use of land and existing buildings.

They have a broad portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings cantered within London but expanding to other areas of the UK. To support the growth and success of the Group going forwards, they are looking to bring new members into our multi-disciplinary team.

Description

The role is best suited to a Surveyor specialising in planning and development, you will be willing and ready to be an active member of the investment, development and management team feeding into a broad range of duties associated to a varied portfolio of buildings, use classes, scales and values.

You will be feeding into a multi-disciplinary team to identify opportunities within new and existing assets, appraising development schemes, overseeing active development projects as well as assisting with the overall management of the existing portfolio.

Given the variety and scope of duties, you will not only gain excellent exposure, but you'll have the opportunity to prove yourself and progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continual review of existing portfolio for opportunities to add value and quality.
  • Feed into the process of new site acquisition including development, financial and risk analysis to support feasibility proposals.
  • Provide technical and professional guidance to the property management team including ongoing asset management and appraisal, forecasting and reporting on development and refurbishment projects.

Profile

Character and essential Skills:

  • A strong commercial awareness and technical knowledge.
  • A logical and practical mind and willingness to be part of a team.
  • Methodical with a good attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
  • The ability to build lasting relationships with contractors, consultants, clients and colleagues.
  • Competency with various computer programmes including an understanding of AutoCAD; Microsoft Office; project/scheduler, Adobe indesign an advantage. We welcome any other programmes to improve working practices.
  • A strong source of trade and professional contacts an advantage.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Education and Experience:

  • Chartered surveyor MRICS with 3-5 years' experience post chartership.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
