Job Details

Have you always wanted to work on the client side, managing a large portfolio of land while looking to maximise the returns of this portfolio through the use of the planning system?

A major land owner based in the West Midlands are looking to appoint a Senior Strategic Planning Manager who can deliver the company's long-term planning & development plan. This type of role doesn't come around too often…

On a daily basis you will be managing sites and external consultants as you promote land through to planning consent and appropriate legal agreements with external agents and consultants. You will also be involved in the disposals and acquisitions side of the business, working closely with development surveyors, land specialists and finance business partners to get deals over the line.

The successful applicant will have worked on large-scale strategic projects and be comfortable with promoting land through the planning system, working closely with local authorities and stakeholders. You will be comfortable with managing your own complex projects and have a fantastic understanding of the UK planning system. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to thrive in the role.

The company have recently gone through changes and are looking to offload circa 12,000 acres of surplus land that is no longer required for core business operations. In doing this, they hope to give back to the community and deliver the best deals for local population. They have fantastic remuneration on offer with generous benefits on top including holidays, bonus, pension and car allowance.

If you think this role is for you, or simply want to discuss the market in further detail please give me (Antony) a call on 020 7318 5851 or send a CV (if you have one)
