Senior Accountant – up to £50,000

One of London’s leading property companies, dealing with all aspects of residential and commercial property, is looking for an experienced and commercial accountant to join it’s team.

Responsibilities of the Accountant include:

  • Maintain detailed records/ledgers of all monies due & received, maintain system for monitoring & managing overpayments/arrears, work with other depts regarding credit control
  • Coding & posting transactions on bank/card statements
  • Profit & Loss reports, balance sheets, quarterly & year-end reports, budgets & forecasts, departmental incomes plus other reports as required for Directors/Heads of Dept
  • Maintain detailed landlord accounts, create statements, prepare payments to landlords, tax retentions from rent due to HMRC, oversee tax exemptions for landlords from HMRC
  • Match purchase orders with invoices, create payments to contractors, suppliers, tenants, lenders & provide accompanying documentation, commissions to other agents
  • Oversee office expenses (including materials) & Petty Cash
  • Company vehicles: payments due (finance, tax, insurance, repairs), fuel costs/usage
  • Payroll, PAYE, NI, pension contributions, general deductions, bonuses, commissions, Holiday payments, produce Payslips/P60/P45 documents
  • Tax Returns, Tax Planning & VAT
  • Company insurances
  • Company bank account reconciliations
  • Maintain NEST Stakeholder Pension scheme
  • Companies House and National Statistics returns
  • Oversee Service Charges invoices to leaseholders/payments in
  • Draft outgoing payments due to landlords/tenants/agents/contractors
  • Maintain a good knowledge of current financial legislation and ethical issues, make constructive contributions to the company to optimise profitability
  • Oversee Tenancy Deposit scheme account

To be considered for this role, ACCA qualifications are preferred but they will also consider AAT or CIMA qualified candidates as well.
