An Interim Head of Area Regeneration is urgently required by a prestigious pro-development London Local Authority.

You will lead a team of seven responsible for delivering area based regeneration projects and programmes by overseeing strategic development, design, management to facilitate the implementation of high profile projects.

In addition, you will also promote and develop the councils inclusive growth strategy and agenda to create new homes and jobs whilst driving sustainable improvement and long term economic prosperity.

As the Interim Head of Area Regeneration you will also build partnerships and develop Joint Venture agreements in conjunction with progressing direct delivery projects.

Your primary focus for these projects will utilise council owned assets augmented by land acquisitions and subsequent site assembly

Duties;

  • Manage an Area Regeneration Team.
  • Develop and implement regeneration strategies designed to stimulate economic growth and development.
  • Develop partnerships and joint venture agreements.
  • Oversee the successful completion of regeneration projects and programmes on time and within budget.
  • Liaise and consult with members, key stakeholders and community groups.

The successful Interim Head of Area Regeneration will be a built environment professional with a background in any of the following disciplines; urban regeneration, planning, architecture / urban design, surveying or construction.

Moreover, you'll have a demonstrable understanding of challenges presented by delivering regeneration projects, strong political awareness in conjunction with commercial matters regarding regeneration and construction programmes in a local authority.
