Head of Land/Land Director
North East
Permanent position: £75k - £90k plus car allowance, bonus and package
The Client
My client is a long-established national developer based in the North East that are looking to expand with a future regional office covering Teeside and parts of North Yorkshire. They are building on the success of their presence in the North East and will continue to construct traditional-build family homes across the region.
They are doing everything to ensure they attract and keep the best professionals in the industry and make sure they take care of the people that work there. They take real pride in offering people exciting opportunities and helping them achieve their goals and dreams.
The Role
You will work from the existing regional office for a couple of days a week, and the rest you will spend doing what you do best – buying land. There is a remit to buy both immediate and strategic land across the region.
As there is only a small presence in this new patch, you will be tasked with flying the flag and being the brand ambassador for the business. You will be tasked with networking with agents, landowners, and development consultants to ensure everybody knows they have arrived.
The ultimate aim is to help open the regional office once ample plots are secured, and you will work very closely with the Regional Chairman on this.
The Candidate
This business is looking for somebody with energy, drive, and passion to head up their Land department. They are looking for somebody who is pro-active, not reactive, who can drive development through the front-end.
They will also need a good understanding of the Teeside area and have an easily accessible contact-base that will facilitate the acquisition of land and opportunities.
As this role will be partially remote-based to begin with, it will require a self-starting professional who has the ability to run their own diary and work autonomously.
