Primary Job Purpose - To provide a professional Land acquisition service

  • Support the delivery of key business performance targets for the region, in order to meet wider company business objectives.
  • Responsible for the acquisition of sites to meet the Region workflow requirements and dates.
  • Support the Company culture and values and the delivery of high levels of business performance and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an efficient and effective Land acquisition function:
  • Be fully aware of the land acquisition budgets for the Region in terms of numbers of sites, units and timelines for the delivery of board packs.
  • Conduct land acquisition negotiations on behalf of the Company.
  • Be fully conversant with and follow the Land department processes and procedures in order to compile board pack submissions.
  • Be fully aware of the Fusion project management process.
  • Recommend to the Land Director ways to promote land purchase and to notify them of any major events in the region such as conferences, exhibitions, public meetings etc.
  • Instruct, examine and approve all information submitted in support of any site purchase. Check all detail and correspondence and send copies as appropriate to the Director.
  • Instruct the company's solicitors on all land purchases within the designated area of the region. Ensure that any other relevant correspondence is sent out as appropriate on any land transaction.
  • Provide guidance and training to others as required.


Person Specification

  • An MRICS, or MRTPI or similar qualification preferred.
  • Advanced negotiation skills are essential.
  • Extensive practical experience, also having held a similar post.
