Real Estate Portfolio Analyst – Worlds Leading Tech Firm!

One of the most well developed and advanced suppliers of property related consultancy advice to Fortune 500 firms, have an Embedded Property Strategist role working for a market leading tech firm. The role involves working closely with this global client, who operate and occupy property across the world, and who need a huge amount of support and advice in relation to how they best mange their property interests.

The necessity for such occupiers of commercial property to develop a real estate strategy is changing. Real estate requirements today have radically changed from what they were in the past and will continue to evolve as transformations in technology, access to data, talent development and attraction, transportation, and the ways in which companies work, impact how to build the right blend of real estate. Occupiers are seeking alternative strategies to optimise their real estate portfolio’s that may result from a number of different drivers, e.g. changes in market conditions or business environment, growth and/or geographic expansion, M&A activity, cost savings initiatives, and many more. Before any real estate solution can be offered to the client the advisory team need to have a deep understating of their client’s existing portfolio, locations, current approach to property holdings, etc and the best way of gaining this insight is through Embedded Property Strategists who can really get under the skin of the portfolio. It’s a very analytical role, and requires strong excel experience as well as a very numerate approach.

Responsibilities:

• As the Embedded Strategist you will take the lead on a variety of complex analyses used in the development of real estate strategies
• You will prepare financial and other analysis for a range of deliverables, including metro and city plans, scenario options, process improvements and business unit communications.
• In addition you will also provide detailed analysis to identify and support optimization initiatives across a spectrum of real estate related activities including organizational design and management practices.

Experience:

• To be considered for this role you must have experience of working in an analytic role previously with a Real Estate or Property angle
• 2:1 or above in a Bachelors degree in a relevant field
• Highly numerate, with understanding of cash flow, balance sheet and P&L
• Experience in conducting analysis and due diligence in terms of contract negotiation
• Experience in change management and transition management is considered critical
• Must have a practical working knowledge of financial terms and principles including an understanding of GAP and European account rules
• Highly numerate and able to communicate at all levels across internal and external teams
• An active and inquisitive mind is important to develop our research and consulting offering
• Good interpersonal skills & team player
• Strong report writing and client facing skills are integral to the role
• Good/advanced skill level of usual Microsoft Office applications
