Job Details
A Planning Validations Officer is urgently required by one of London's most prestigious borough councils.
You will be responsible for validating a wide variety of minor to major planning applications encompassing householder, residential extensions, change of use, mixed use, alterations to listed buildings, commercial signage and "other applications".
In addition you'll engage with Planning Officers in Development Management and correspond with key stakeholders and members of the public in relation to Planning queries.
Duties include
- Ensuring all supporting documents are submitted with each planning application
- Drafting consultation letters
- Liaising with the public, architects, stakeholders in relation to the progress of the application or approval
- Register new applications on the system
- Deal with queries from members of the public
The successful candidate will have acquired practical experience as a Validations Officer or Planning Assistant in the public sector in conjunction with having excellent communication and administrative skills.
