Senior Project Manager: Boutique Consultancy

Currently seeking experienced Project Managers to join this close-knit team, our client are a West End-based Cost & Project Management consultancy whose service platform spans the entirety of the development life-cycle: from client-brief to handover, they provide a turnkey solution to a range of clients comprising notable institutional funders and developers.

This multi-disciplinary, multi-sector consultancy undertake projects ranging from £1million to circa £100million in value, comprising a range of sectors, including: residential, commercial, retail, industrial and leisure. These requirements have arisen due to the company’s sustained success and these key appointments will be critical to them achieving their ongoing growth aspirations.

The ideal candidate will possess many of the following qualities:

• Ideally (but not necessarily) MRICS/MAPM chartered
• Demonstrable experience of overseeing complex, high-value (north of £30million) projects, spanning a range of sectors
• The capacity to independently oversee these with minimal reliance on internal directors
• The demeanour to deal directly with some of the UK’s/world’s most high-calibre clientele: holding your ground and offering guidance without ruffling feathers will be key
• The ability to bring work with you would stand applicants in good stead, but by no means is this a pre-requisite
• Prior consultancy experience sought, but its absence is certainly not a deal-breaker: more important is a finely-honed soft-skillset and entrepreneurship
• Minimum of 6 years industry experience
• Proficiency in JCT D&B contract type

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to act as project lead on high-value, high-profile, challenging projects spanning a range of sectors. They will be given as much autonomy as they can handle; an ideal environment for self-starters who are tired of being patronised.

The bulk of the work will be in the capacity of clients-appointed Project Manager, so an ideal setting for someone with prior client-side experience. The role will largely focus around the appointment and coordination of the professional team, reporting on project progress to the client, and ensuring that projects are delivered in a timely and cost-effective fashion.

The appointee will also benefit from extensive front-end development exposure, as our client steer the process from concept to completion.

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + bonus + benefits - dependent on experience.
