We are currently recruiting for a Development Surveyor to join our London team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing development experience across of range of work including guiding public and private sector clients through the asset evolution process using planning and market appraisal, development appraisal, funding, legal and strategy formulation expertise.

MAIN TASKS:

The main tasks of the role will include:

  • Produce accurate and well-presented documents including reports, client correspondence, presentations and spreadsheets  within agreed time frames
  • Drafting of letters, reports, invoices, property particulars etc
  • Diary management – organising meetings, booking to attend conferences and events etc
  • Carry out timely and accurate administration of databases, including Navision, Time@Work
  • Accurately process fee accounts and out of pocket expenses
  • Provide a high level of efficiency and customer service to all who visit or contact the office
  • Provide support to the office including other partners, managers and staff as reasonably required
  • Handling enquiries and taking necessary action.
  • General office duties such as filing, photocopying, etc.
  • Maintain close communication to ensure efficient running of the department at all times
  • Effectively liaise with other relevant professionals to maintain a sound working knowledge of all relevant areas of work
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of compliance information such as Money Laundering and clients’ compliance systems (for administrative purposes)
  • Maintaining and developing spreadsheets
  • Opening and closing instructions, including file management
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations
  • Assisting with tender proposals,
  • Occasional mail merges
  • Arranging travel and accommodation
  • Any other duties which may be necessary from time to time.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

You will ideally be MRICS qualified (or close to APC completion) with experience within development surveying including development appraisals and advisory experience. You will also have ideally gain exposure to acquisition and disposal work. It is preferred that you will have valuation experience or be a registered Valuer. You will be proactive and motivated in working with existing and new clients to provide an excellent level of service.  Working within a close team, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlines.
